Libby has come in to the rescues care as she has bitten the old owner grandchild & for the safety of the dog & the children it was decided to that she would be better to be placed with us so we can find the best home for Libby without children.
This has not been an easy decision for the owner. She is now in foster care with Dawny who I am sure will update us all with some pics & her progress etc.

Libby has arrived and is as cute as a button...will get pics and background info on asap...she has stitches at the moment after being speyed..

She is so so cute!

Hi all,
This little pampered pooch came to me yesterday teatime..
She is a really beautiful little girl who is 11 1/2 ins in height and 12 ins from neck to bum.. sje weighs approx 2.5 kg but will confirm after vet on Thursday.
Her previous owner was heartbroken to let her go..but due to the circumstances written above..she thought it was the best thing to do.
Libby has been speyed and is going to have stitches removed on Thursday afternoon, along with a general checkup and to start her immunisations.
Libby is a little nervous and unsure at the moment as Angela her previous owner has had since 7 weeks old...and she is getting used to her surroundings..
So far she is fine with my 2 dogs...she has had 2 little accidents, but I am sure this is due to her new surroundings...she slept on Shauns bed last night as that is where she has always slept and was a bit whingy...she soon settled though..
Well folks..I nearly joined the failed fosterers club (AGAIN) but, have come to my senses..and give you lot a chance lol..
She will make someone very happy as she is a beautiful dog...
Will update more as she settles down.

Dawny she sounds like she has landed on her feet with you. You are doing a real good job.

What a gorgeous little girl!
As you said Dawny,she is sure to be a little nervous and bewildered - new surroundings and wondering what is going on!!-her poor owner,what a heartbreaking decision,but she did what is best,although must have been very hard.
She looks just like my little Rosie,who we lost last Nov,aged 19yrs old.
Oooh!-such a cutie pie!
Am sure it won`t be long before she`s in her forever home.

Oooooh!....I think,or should I say - I`ve fallen in love with the gorgeous little Libby!
So glad I filled out an adoption form a while ago....although I have a feeling that there will be alot of people wanting and hoping to give this gorgeous girl a home.

Dawny - it sounds like you are doing a wonderful job with Libby,as with the other`s that you foster.
I`ll be thinking of Libby at the vets tomorow(and you!) and really look forward to her update.

WELL DAWN ASKED ME TO UPDATE THE THREAD FOR HER

libby has been to the vets today to have her stitiches removed and to have her vaccinations..
she was as good as gold and the vet has given her a clean bill of health..

she is a pampered pooch and can challenge your decision to ask her to do things..like get odf the chair etc... dawn has worked her magic and has housetrained her..well done dawn so when she goes to her new home she will be the perfect pooch.

she does not tolerate children at all..Dawn has tried it with a couple of children and it is a big no no..dont worry though the children are fine..
Libby has been very well loved and has gained the upper hand but dawn is determined and has regained control over this pooch..whoever adopts this dog has to be the leader because if you give an inch with this dog she will take the full mile

Hi Carole,
Thank you for that update...very accurate...
the only thing I will add is that whoever adopts her will have to have a very secure garden as Lady Falary (Libby) lol can get through a gap in a stairgate !!
She is also now eating dog food (small bite) instead of cat food...and now stays and sleeps in a bed..
She is absoulutley gorgeous..and will make someone a lovely forever friend...
I shall give updates as and when I can..or through Carole or Sue as our naughty thomas is now a poorly thomas..

oh yes sorry dawn i did forget...who ever gets little girl needs to take an orange or a satsuma round the garden and if you can find a hole bigger than them then this little girl would get through it..she can get straight through the bars of a baby gate..

Well done Dawny-it sounds like you are doing a great job with little Libby.
She sounds like a real character-all be it,very strong willed and if she had her way-would be the boss!
I glad the children are ok...who`s did you borrow!?!
Is it just children that she tries to have a `nip` at?-or anyone?!
So she`s also an escape artist?-and although not as small as a certain little man(Pippin!)-can still get through small holes/gaps. It was thought that Libby was approx 2.5kg-you said that you would try and get her weighed at the vets-did you manage to?
As I said,you are yet again doing a wonderful job with the little one`s that come to you.

Libby wieghed in at 2.5kgs...and yes she is a little madam...but with someone who can train her to be a dog instead of lady of the manor (she is easy to train) she is great...
It is only children that she has a problem with...she appears frightened/jealous...( my grandchildren were the targets ..but they are ok)
She isn't a snappy dog as a rule...she has just had her own way far to long...lol
All this little dog needs is manners...spoilt for to long...

I am afraid Thomas isn't going to get better Lou...just tlc and meds.. ..

Another strenuouse day for Libby.,..she has had to sleep in her bed again...and she is trying all sorts of tricks to get on the sofa and get her own way lol...it's really funny to watch...
She is doing well though and is going to have a nice bath this evening to make her more beautiful..

Hello everyone just letting you know what's Libby has been up to, Yesterday due to the ill health of one of Dawn's dogs she has moved to a new foster home (me) which she has taken in her stride.
Libby is now living with my Hubby and I and our two grown up children 17 & 20 whom she adores and our six dogs, 5 border collies aged between 14months and 13.5 years and Tilly our 11 year old yorkie. She has had a busy time with a wash and brush up,hair cut and a pedicure she looks fantastic and i am sure feels better for it, during this Libby was as good as gold not a moments complaint (pics to follow when Hubby gets home).
It's early days for me to give you an idea of her character, but so far nothing we can't cope with, she will make someone very happy in her forever home.
