MONTY - SHIH TZU - LINCOLNSHIRE

Post by yorkiegirl on Wed Apr 28, 2010 1:23 am

    NAME OF DOG - MONTY
BREED OF DOG - SHIH TZU
    SEX OF DOG - MALE
AGE OF DOG - 10 MONTHS (DOB 11/06/2009)
    NEUTERED/SPAYED - YES
VACCINATED - YES (TO SEPT 2010)
MICROCHIPPED - YES TO BE CHANGED INTO NEW OWNERS DETAILS
    INSURED - NO BUT RECOMMENDED
    OTHER DOGS - YES
CATS - YES NO INTEREST WHAT SO EVER
CHILDREN - YES - SENSIBLE ONES
    APPROX WEIGHT - 8-9KGS

Monty has been handed into our care as his elderly owner was no longer able to pick him up or walk him as he is now too big for her. Being a pup still he has lots of energy that was not released due to elderly owner not being able to take him for the runs/walks that he needs. He is slightly overweight, but again this we feel is due to the lack of exercise. He has seen a specialist vet as his hind legs appear to be weak, but it is felt that lack of exercise/overweight is contributing to this as he does not appear to have a lot of muscle. He will see our vet for an mot & then will be off to Aunty Rachels & the Rocksters for his assessment period & to lose a bit of the puppy flab he has. Hopefully with all the playing/exercise that he will definately get with the 'Rockster' he will build up some muscle.

Anyone wishing to be considered for the adoption of MONTY is required to complete an adoption form after reading all the adoption rules & procedures please.
The adoption form can be found by clicking on the here: http://www.yorkieandtoybreedrescue.co.uk/adopting.html

Not really, eyes working to a certain degree. Having to copy & paste everyting into word & then blow it up!!!!!
Getting bad headaches, but think that is where I am straining my eyes to read things. It is times like this I paid more attention in typing classes

Well MOnty is a dream (if you are into pups) Rolling Eyes Laughing . He is a clumsy umpa lump!!! Lollops around the house like a giant rabbit!!! He is very clean & sleeps all night in his bed with his huge teddy. Eats what he is given, but not greedy. Will sit and bark at you when you are eating, but if you tell him 'no', he will walk away (& look for mischief to get your attention Wink Loves Cheese plants affraid , mine has been pruned so whoever is lucky enough to become his slave will have to move any plants at 'Monty' level (oh & pot purri Laughing tooooo).
He is a star, so young yet so intelligent. He is going to make a great addition to any family (after Aunty Rach & the 'Rockster'have had their fun)

day one with monty lump, !
hes not sure of his name at all, doesnt look up or even wiggle an ear when you shout and has so far ended up with about 6 nick names lol from umpa lump to bo bo, stewie, and bambi or basil or tiger Smile he loves em all so far

he really is like bambi on ice with his wobbly legs, but it doesnt stop him charging round like a clown bouncing on top of rocky at any given chance chasing birds in the garden or doing his signature run and jump dive bomb! when he was at sues he was doing alot of sleeping as the yorkie gang are a little on the tiny side for bug umpa lump play!
(sue we both lost the bet Smile rock had him playing within 1 hour of being home so points to rocky)
but here at home with rocky ive had nothing but wrestling, soggy ears being pulled and chewed on and 2 doggys rolling around like dead fies on their backs !
    we love it!
hes a sweet sweet little man and our main aim is to squease as much puppy back into him as possible.
step one,,,, play play play !!!!

monty is doing so so well, he LOVEs walks, his legs are nearly normal, just a few wobbles when hes tired or feels he needs a hug
im not sure hes ever been on walks as putting a lead on him he just wants to run, and with the 16ft lead i have he just runs round me in huge cirles then flops in the long grass then off again like a bolt.
he's being visited by Lynne on thursday shes not online sadly to post but shes a lovely lady who's been watching every one of my fosters waiting for the perfect fluffy for her family.
monty is quite a character, and has come on leaps and bounds litrally since coming to stay with us,
hes missing a few brain cells but this is either a cunning plan of his or just his sweet character eg dropping a bit of food just past his nose his eyes are still fixed on your hand, he has no idea its on the floor in front of him lol, very cute and always leads to him getting another tit bit Smile he ofter rolls on to his back and as in monty world its such a lot of work to roll back, he doesnt bother, he just has a nap instead Smile
fingers crossed for him for thursday he really has the perfect home lined up, lynne has oodles of love ready for him
