This is Jake. He's an absolutely stunning 5months old Foxhound X Greyhound(Not a single scrap of Staffy in this one!!). He arrived with his brother having lived his first 5 months in a back yard with very little interaction. He had no lead training, no recall training and most definitely no house training whatsoever. He is still a bit underweight at 15.5kilos but has an appetite like a horse so will soon fill out!
Jake has responded very well to on lead training but hasn't yet been trusted off lead. He is learning how to behave in the house and what he can and can't "play" with. He does still have the odd toilet accident but considering he's been outdoors for 5 months I feel he's doing ok with it and will get the hang of it soon.
Jake is fantastic with other dogs, likes to investigate cats but hasn't pounced on or chased any of them and has shown no interest in the rabbits. He's been brilliant with the kids, not a problem there!
He's basically just a big, soppy, lanky pup that needs a special place to call home.
His new home must have experience with with dogs his size, must have a secure garden and preferably a nice, calm older resident dog for him to learn from. We would love to find him a home with at least one stay at home owner who can continue his training full time.
Jake has now been vaccinated and chipped but must leave us with a neutering agreement as we are completely out of funds.
