We are seeking for ideally foster placements foir the following dogs or help with transport to another area please

Holly - Yorkshire Terrier - 5 years old - Devon
Taffie - Yorkshire Terrier - 5 years old - Surrey

Jack - Yorkshire Terrier - 8 Years old - Bristol - Working with owner so she can keep Jack
Jake - Yorkshire Terrier - 5 Years old - Goole East Yorkshire - Now sorted
Gizmo - Yorkshire Terrier - 5 Years old - Middlesborough
Archie - Yorkshire Terrier - 4 Years old - Middlesborough - owner working with issues. She may join us for further advice
Rags - Yorkie x - 8 Years old - Skipton North Yorkshire - Now sorted
Spud - Yorkshire Terrier - 1 year old - Blackpool - Now sorted

Please be aware if you have never fostered for us before we will have to arrange a home check & have a general ruling that new foster carers are not permitted to adopt their first foster dog, we ask that you foster at least 3 before you can adopt. This ruling is sometimes bent if the home is the right home for that particular dog though.

I actually have a big apology to make to you , I was looking through Tia the Pug x's file to double check I had actually sent of her Petlog change of ownership as Kandice still had not heard back from Petlog & found Tia's vaccination card in there . just to let you know, you can't send private mails until you have done x amount of posts and then admin activate your private messages.

to be a fosterer, you need to fill out the foster form and await to hear from admin. It can take a while for admin to get back to you as they are very busy with the doggies.

Usually the procedure is that you will be homechecked before you can foster.

hope that makes it clearer on the procedure.
though admin could change procedure whenever they feel like it so the above may change

Fay329 etc I would advise you to press edit and remove your phone number as you could have lots of or downright calls because everyone not only members can read these posts .. This is advice for your own safety .. or maybe can do it ..

I think at present fosters are needed that have already been homechecked. unfortunatly a few of the admin people aren't around at the mo due to illness so new homechecks can't be done quick enough in comparison to the large amount of dogs coming in(as you can probably guess).

just wanted to help you understand the situation at the mo and hope I've made sense (cause i often don't lol)

i did have a home check with dogs friend and had the dog in mind for adopting, 5mins from the door to get him they foned and sed it was ill and i can,t have it , turns out the foster carer wanted to keep her herself. so thanks again. olli xx

Olli you should be able to pm now so you could pm yorkie girl if you have proof of home check or could get it .. then it would be all systems go.. not enough hands on deck at the moment ..fosters are not allowed to adopt the dog until they have had 3.. that is to stop what you have encountered .. You are not being " ignored " but Sue aka Yorkiegirl is virtually doing everything single handed as her "staff all voluntary " are ill ... and it is members keeping the forum going as Sue just has not got enough time ( may not even read the post - eyes have to shut at some point ) ... so bear with us .. but email sue .. the more fosterers the better..

as you saw in my earlier reply, its really difficult at the mo. yep she's rushing around ALL the time at the mo unfortuantly.

Three admin staff are unable to help at the moment for various reasons, sometimes other fosterers will do homechecks. it will take a little longer that's all.

Dear all
At present I am concentrating on getting home checks done for dogs that are going out. I have not even began to sort out checks for anyone else.
We do not normally carryout home checks 'just in case' it is normally done as & when a dog is in that particular area. This is why for example when I sent out the urgent plea the other day I did state that it had to be to a 'HOME CHECKED' home. Also I am getting people volunteering stating that they are looking to adopt, if this is the case do not volunteer as you are not allowed to adopt your first 3 foster dogs, it is seen by others as queue jumping. If you are just looking to adopt please just complete an adoption application form.
I am running this rescue at present single handed, organising runs, foster homes, vet payment/prices, home checks & a million other things. Most of you only have 1/2 dogs to worry about, I as the rescue have about 25 dogs plus my own to worry about. I do need sleep occasionally & sometimes if I am lucky get to eat
I have 4 more now waiting to come in so am now also sorting out transport/spaces for these although they are not urgent.
