To save you looking it up:
A BASSET hound which needs medical treatment has been stolen from a Derby animal rescue centre.
Betty, aged between three and four, was taken from Second Chance Rescue Centre, Chellaston, on Sunday at about 1.40pm.
Manager Jo Fairbrother said that a man came to the centre and took the dog for a walk but he never came back.
She said Betty needed medical treatment for an ear infection after being rescued from a breeding centre in Northern Ireland.
Mrs Fairbrother said: "A man with a deep voice called to ask if the basset hound was still here and said he would come to see her around 2pm on Sunday.
"He wanted to take her for a walk and we showed him the best way to go but he never came back.
"You can't just a take a dog.
"We need to complete checks to make sure they are going to a home of adequate size which is clean and where we can see they will not be used for breeding."
A police spokeswoman said staff at the centre had checked CCTV and seen the thief caught on camera.
She said: "The man is seen walking in the opposite direction to the way they recommended.
"He got into a red Rover outside the premises."
The man is described as in his 30s, with mousey brown hair, slim, about 6ft, wearing a blue puffer-jacket, track-suit bottoms with a stripe down to the knee.
