LUCY - YORKSHIRE TERRIER - LINCOLNSHIRE

Post by yorkiegirl on Tue Nov 23, 2010 9:16 am

    NAME OF DOG – LUCY
BREED OF DOG – YORKSHIRE TERRIER
    SEX OF DOG - FEMALE
AGE OF DOG – 6 YEARS OLD
    NEUTERED/SPAYED – YES
VACCINATED – YES (BOOSTER DUE 04/08/2011)
MICROCHIPPED – NO TO BE DONE WHEN NEW OWNER IS FOUND
    INSURED - NO BUT RECOMMENDED
OTHER DOGS –YES , CALM ONES
    CATS – DID CONSIDER CHASING
    CHILDREN – SENSIBLE ONES 10+
    APPROX WEIGHT – 5 KGS
APPROX HEIGHT TO SHOULDER – 10” APPROX
Lucy has been handed in to our care as his old owner had to return to full time employment & as Lucy was used to having some one around all day it was felt fairer to her to be re homed. Lucy did actually go to an elderly lady for a week, but proved too lively for her so was returned to her old owner, this is when she contacted us as she did not want to pass her around again. She is a very sweet & loving little girl. Quite demanding, but this is because she just craves attention. I have asked Aunty Jackie to foster her as poor Teddy was feeling quite down with Joey going to a new home.
I am sure Jackie will update more on here once she has observed her for a few days.

I have been looking for a site like this for Yorkies for a couple of weeks now. We had Lucy our Yorkie who passed away age 13 last month. This little dog Lucy reminds me so much of her.

My camera is working again now. Lucy has settled in well. she has had a few splats with Teddy but on the whole they get on well. She walks well on the lead but it has been difficult with all the snow and ice to really assess her. She is a real cuddle monkey and I think i may fail!!!

Some pics to be going on with

Lucy has settled really well. She is a bit noisy when people walk past but trying to cure of this. She's a bit aggressive when people come but soon gets over it. Walks well but has no recall at all. Once it is warmer will try to get her trained.

i think with lucy it depends on the cats..sues cats are very dog aware and no sensible dog would go there so lucy changed her mind BUT she would chase cats given the chance and if it ran its fair game in her mind...

I have both and not really noticed any difference in looking after them.
