She has been to pick up a white/cream spitz that was living with multiple dogs and the dog warden has asked the rescue to help this dog.
We preferably need an experienced foster for this particular dog.
He is approx the size of a sheltie/collie dog.
He is in a very poor condition. Helen bathed him and tried to groom his very matted hair and already filled a bin.
He has a broken dew claw and needs dental work and the foster carer must have access to a vet.
He doesn't seem to have had training but seems (so far) easy to train.
He oculd be 4years plus but we don't know for sure.
He is covered in bite marks from being bitten by, it is believed, to be the pitbulls in the house. There were 12 dogs in the house today which is after the dog warden took a load of youngsters out the other day.
He is used to being around kids.
He has been barking incessantly at Helens so the foster carer will have to be sure their neigbours don't mind this – or that they have no neighbours to worry about.
He doesn't seem vicious at all even though he has come from this environment. He hasn't complained whilst Helen has been grooming him even though he must be in pain.
He has no recall...doesn't know his name!
We can already see that he will be a lovely dog and any fosterer will find him massively rewarding.
If you are able to help, you will need to get to Hull (or near Hull) tomorrow to pick him up.
