FUDGE - YORKSHIRE TERRIER - LANCASHIRE

Post by yorkiegirl on Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:31 pm

    NAME OF DOG – FUDGE
    BREED OF DOG –YORKSHIRE TERRIER
    SEX OF DOG - MALE
AGE OF DOG – 1 YEAR OLD
    NEUTERED/SPAYED – YES
VACCINATED – BOOSTER TO BE ARRANGED
MICROCHIPPED – NO TO BE DONE WHEN NEW OWNER IS FOUND
    INSURED - NO BUT RECOMMENDED
    OTHER DOGS –YES
    CATS – YES
    CHILDREN – POSSIBLY 10+
    APPROX WEIGHT – 6 KG
APPROX HEIGHT TO SHOULDER – 11"

Fudge has come in to our care as his old owners found themselves having to move in to rented accommodation & they were not allowed to have pets. It was a heart breaking decision, but clearly had to be made as children were also involved & they needed somewhere to live.

I am sure that Tilly790 will update on him as soon as she can.

Before an application is made please read the following carefully:
Please do not apply for the dog unless you have the funds to pay the donation fee. We do not have the facility to hold dogs in our care until the prospective owners have the funds to adopt the dog.
Only apply for the dog if you intend to travel to the fosters carers location. We do not deliver dogs or allow a third party to collect the adoptor/s must travel to view the dog.

Anyone wishing to be considered for the adoption of FUDGE is required to complete an adoption form after carefully reading all the adoption rules & procedures please. Please be aware that you will only be called if you have been chosen to adopt, we do NOT call every applicant
The adoption form can be found by clicking here: http://www.yorkieandtoybreedrescue.co.uk/adopting.html

Hi im Fudges foster mum...Fudge has settled in really well with my 4 dogs..Karen his previous owner had 3 cats & a little boy so hes fine with both kids cats & dogs. Fudge is full of life as he is only a baby & would suit an active family. His toilet training was hit & miss but is coming along now with regular trips outside. When my O.H is in later i will measure & weigh him...All i can think of for now..Lorraine..

He's Love2 I'm sure it won't be long before he has a long line of potential slaves queueing up with their applications to adopt him.

Sadly no, not unless you know of vets that also take their bills in installments. We run at a loss as it is.

The exact location would only be given if you have filled in a adoption form and were accepted as his new "mom" then you would be able to visit etc etc .. Fosterers try to keep as much information private as this is an OPEN forum and has almost 5000 members it is better to be safe on line ..

If you have permission put yes & if you are choosen to adopt one of our dogs the home checker will require a copy of it.
    Hope this helps?

Oh, he sounds just like my Bess, she has toys all over and just loves all of them!! She is so busy, trotting all round the house all day long, like my shaddow!! We've had her almost a year now from the rescue, i had her for my 40th last March, she has bought us so much joy in a year, just couldn't imagine life without her now and i'm sure Fudge will make an excellant companion for someone very soon, ,someone is going to be very lucky!! Very Happy

Just sometimes I want to swear "expletives " in the write ups on all the dogs it will say if dogs have been tried with children and ALSO if peeps take the trouble to read the info given by THIS rescue they will see that dogs are not usually rehomed with children under a cetain age .. Can NEW peeps please read all the 1st page starting with "who we are ".. as fosterers have lots to do than answer specific questions ...like looking after a family .. their own illness's to contend with .. yes lots have.. and looking after dogs of their own plus the fosters in their care .. Sorry if this offends but just sometimes I just want peeps to know asking some ???s is just silly.. for me ..

Would just reiterate that I DID read the info at the top of the page - as it said that the previous owner had children thought it prudent to double check the age criteria before wasting my time and the rescue's by filling in an application. Some people should get a life! So much for being told that you don't bite on this forum! Thanks for the warm welcome Cowboyz.

....paulmcs sorry if you have been offended by cowboyz post and I am sure this was not what she intended, many people are under a lot of pressure with so many ....,,unwanted dogs etc , several of the admin team have illness etc and ...the day to day running of this rescue is not easy.

..,,,,.Please dont say some people should get a life until you know what they are about.

All the admin etc all volunteer there time freely without any payment ,while trying to juggle a home life with children etc and collect and transport doggys.

I know cowboyz and she is not in the business of offending people and may have hastily posted this when under some pressure.
Members and admin alike on here are very welcoming and will be glad to advise or help you in any way as you find your way around this forum.

Please be patient as they are lots of lovely furballs waiting on their new slaves and your furry friend is only around the corner..
Welcome to the Yorkie & toy breed rescue.

Fudge is a super dog. Brings a tear to my eye reading about him as he reminds me so much of our late yorkie who died last june. I am sure he will make an excellent pet for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him.
