Tilly has been with me since she was 4/5 months old. But sadly due to a massive change in family circumstances we now feel it is kinder to Tilly to find her a new family that can fulfil all her needs.

Tilly is a high energy full on beans girl, she is very very bright and is keen to please........and sometimes a right naughty (please add your explanatory here).
She is generally a very sociable dog but shows signs of dominance issues, she has been very excepting of letting other dogs into our home. We have 2 other bitches and we do have the occasional rank issue. She unfortunately has a very high prey drive, this includes cats in the garden, birds and she has chased sheep on the one occasion she was in a situation to. She is a very biddable girl but we have been having problems with my less than dog savey step children, she has nipped when over excited and when disturbed when sleeping..............I hear your crys of train the kids..............we have one with learning disabilities and the nature of her problems are that you can repeat till you are blue in the face but the info is usually gone within minutes. So rather than ruin Tilly we want to find her a calmer, experienced but active fun home. I will be moving in with my partner and our hundreds of children very soon. I must emphasise that Tilly has always lived with children and up until recently has been fine. So what have I missed out.............
Tilly can been left with the company of other dogs......although a chew and toys is advisable as she will find something to amuse herself with.......
She recently has started a disgusting habit of poo eating.......this maybe since I changed the food though!!!!!! And please please mind the bins she will raid given the chance.....and this includes the bathroom bin! I will leave that to your imagination. Rolling Eyes

She really is a super dog and very very pretty and deserves the very best and sadly we are not fulfilling her needs.

Ok why did I switch on the computer today and why oh why has this little darling appeared on the rescue and why is she a bigger female than my LouLou but she is absolutely perfect as I adore chiwawas but they very rarely come onto the rescues and at £900 for a puppy I am never going to be able to have one again, I had a 3 year old rescue Black Chi called Buster he was absolutely fantastic with all the same traits but who cares LOL he did eventually stop doing them with lots of perseverence and died at 18 years old and I want Tilly now OH is also called Tilly as in name he is called by 90% of all who know him, its to do with his surname not that he is a dog.
She will not I am positive be long on the forum and I am so Crying or Very sad that I cannot have her, where is my other forever Furrie I so desperately want one that needs lots of cuddles, sadly my 2 new ones dont demand constant snuggles they are fairly independant 50% of the time OH well lucky Lucky some one else.

    Tillys old story

Little Tilly came to us after her old owner decided that she was not going to pay the vet bill for a broken ankle that Tilly had received. Even theough I have her 'Pedigree' paperwork I am very doubtful that she really is a pure Chihuahua & this is why the old owner decided she did not want her really. She is very tall for her age, but such a sweet funny little girl that would benefit living with a family with children as she is very young & playful. She would also benefit from another dog in the house as well to play with/teach her habits!!!!
Her leg has healed, but her foot has a very slight turn, but this certainly is not stopping her running around like a looney.
She walks well, but until her leg has gain strength these are just short at present. She does still put on a 'limp' when she knows that you are watching or wants attention Rolling Eyes
She is 95% clean in the house, just the odd accident when she gets 'excited' or is playing & forgets to go out (back door always open). Sleeps in the kitchen with all the other at night without fuss.

(when she had her cast on)

I would agree that she looks like a Chi X but she is beautifull isnt she and it was sad that original owner didnt want to spend money that she shouldnt have begrudged the little darling but they dont care so good job she came to this rescue and sad that Amanda due to reasons that are understandable has needed to have to make the decision to part with her, I hope whoever is lucky enough to have her for a pet will give her lots of love and hugs.
Amanda dont worry this forum will find her a great home wish it could be mine.

Aww, hasn't her hair come out nice? Long haired chis don't get their proper fluff until they're over 12 months and the difference between the puppy fluff and adult fluff can be pretty big. I remember seeing her original thread before... I may have considered her myself a little bit, back when I just had the one dog!
    Good luck Tilly!

ETA - I just checked her original thread, I did fill out a form for her! Hehe. Good job I've got so many dogs now or there'd be another one.

Awwwww, She sounds pretty much like my long coat chihuahua Abbie. Shes a bigger girl too, very high energy, she can be a bit over the top in everything, and a bit bossy to boot. She'll be as nice as pie with one person and bouncing on her hind lega barking at another. I have quite a few friends with the breed and its pretty typical of the breed. A quiet, delicate, handbag dog she aint lol.
Tilly looks like a cream, the same as Abbie and they're very similar looking except for Abbie has a 'blue' muzzle.
I have been told that long coats are more highly strung than the smooth coats. Abbie is proof of that, much harder work than the yorkies. Love2

Tilly has been on very good form over the last few weeks. We have had lots of fun in the easter hols and when we are all together she has been very calm and happy. We have had no nipping and the only poo eating has been when the neighbours cat left presents for her Rolling Eyes
We are still waiting for the right family for Tilly. I do hope i didnt paint her in such a bad light that it has put people off considering her, she really is a beautiful girl with lots of love to give. Please contact me if you have any questions.

i thought i remembered tilly!!! the pure breed chi lol.... i dont think ssoooooooo, she was taller than rock as a pup, from what i remember meeting her she was so playful with rock and althhough she was still on the mend was egging him on to play, she came with "pictures" of her parents, which tbh could have been a pit bull and a poodle for how much she looked like em, pedigree or no pedigree she was a cracking lil pup when i last saw her Smile

poor not-so-little girl Sad . she so deserves the loving arms of her forever family. I wonder why she gets overlooked? She's beautiful! And I am sure she would be somebody's little ray of sunshine sunny No good here as we have cats and not ideal family situation at present. Thank god these dogs are homed with fosterers and not in a kennels - can you imagine how much sadder that would be. You all do such an amazing job. My hat is truly off to you all

My little brain (very little) has been pondering this post all morning.. and a couple of questions come to mind that prospective adopters maybe considering so I hope you don't mind me letting you know my thoughts:

When you say Cats are a problem, is this because she has a problem with cats within your home, or feline intruders in the garden? I ask this because my dogs live happily along side three cats, but chase off any that visit our garden and are scared of cats when out walking. Just wondering if cats might be do-able for Tilly?

When you say 'dominance issues' do you mean with humans so needs a human who knows they must be pack leader.. or do you mean with other dogs in the home, and can she be aggressive and frighten other less upfront dogs?

ps... mine eat rabbit poo, cat sick, and regularly check the cat litter for treats! So she's not the only minger in town!

She is SUCH a beauty!! Good luck xx

and if she does end up needing a fosterer, and if I get approved as a fosterer (I've applied) and if she can live with cats and if she's not agrressive to a poorly, submissive woofy, I'd love to have her!!! (is that enough 'if's' lol)

Aaaaw, little Tilly is far from the worst case we've had here!! She's a looker, with a bit of sparkle to keep her from being a dumb blonde geek and she's not a 'handbag' dog, but she's certainly no giant!! She's a small, fun, beautiful chick with attitude who needs her very own human to love. Could we have more pics please Northyorkie? What about a wee update on her funny stories and what she has been getting up to?
Tilly's family are out there, come and have a look!!

Agree I so agree with what you said....Aspenscript and Minniedog91.

On the cat front we did have a cat in the house for a short time and Tilly was very interested .......but.......she was never given the chance to get close really. The neighbours cats sit the other side of the gate and taunt her, but when you say "leave it" she has learnt to pack it in. Really it is the only time she barks you know.......she is a quite girl. So i suppose with a little bit of work she would be fine......she is very bright.
As for the dominance side of things.......she trys it on with the other dogs every now and again. Three bitches and a very definate rank she longs to be the boss......not going to happen here. She was very sweet when we had jasper staying so maybe she likes the company of little boys Love2

Nipping at home is reserved for the silly kids if you get my drift. We are two families merging (9 kids between us 7 at home) one with learning disabilities. And it is impossible to watch them all the time, when the less savey ones are being silly i feel like doing more than nipping them i can assure you. So i can't blame her......i am just seem to failing it trying to instill good dog techniques in the children, and sadly with lifes challenges at the moment its way down the list....... Rolling Eyes

I think alot of this has come up since life got crazy.......

On the plus list she has lots......travels well, cuddly, not much grooming, no clipping, can be left, doesnt eat much, very cute, very cute, very cute, a little crazy, clean unless you need punishing for something, quite. Oh it goes on and on.

I will try and update photos this weekend......

Thank you again and please ask if you have a question. I am certain the first person to meet her will fall head over heals.

Oh she just sounds absolutely fantastic!! whoever is lucky enough to be chosen to give her a forever home will be in doggie heaven!

I am sooooo jealous of them already!!

If it wasn't for Jamie, he's in such a fragile state right now and I just don't think he can take any more livelyness around him. (Poppy knocked him clean over yesterday, and he whimpered and took quite a while to get his breath back.. frightened me a bit).

But I have to tell you I am totally in love with LOVELY TILLY

I would love to take her but keep getting a firm from my mom. Both Alfie [yorkie] and Abbie [chihuahua] have had dominance issues which with firm [but gentle] handling is kept under control. Just wish I was in a position to put in a form for her.
