AUGUST photos Competition for the 2012 Calendar.

Now this is the time for you to get your pictures in for the AUGUST section of the 2012 Yorkshire Terrier and Toy Breed Rescue Calendar. You could have any type of picture as long as it is of your dog or family or friends dog as long as you have their permission, any location, any pose. THIS MONTHS THEME IS YOUR FAVOURITE PICTURE.

Entry dates are from 17th June - 24th July.

Each entry only costs 50p each which you can pay via paypal, you must add your confirmation number at the bottom of your photos.

I'v taken Poppy's pic off because, georgeous as she is, she's been treated like royalty from birth and it's easy to look good if you've never had to lift a paw for yourself, as the queen would tell you. She's never been through the trauma of being rehomed or mistreated or neglected. She's just a pampered pooch with five slaves at her feet. Good luck to the heroic ones for August. I will use Poppy as my signature as I know you will miss her lol x

The competition is open to everyone aspenscript I have had my boys since pups too, but Katy was an ex breeding girlie as well as my mum's Bonnie. Poppy is so cute, it would be lovely to see her with the other gorgeous ones here

Aw thanks Nessie. I'll put her back as she is totally gorgeous (biased I know) and ... lol... I was just going to add a comment on Hamish's photo.. then realised he's yours!! What a great photo... sums up 'fun at the beach'.. its like he's looking at you saying... 'this is just great isn't it!'

yes it is Chancer and Kara, Chancer was and has been spoilt since we had him as a puppy. Kara came from the rescue Feb 2010 and has been a lot of work still in progress, she has fear aggression and has caused tears because of the nasty comments from neighbours and the few bites she has taken, but we turned a corner when we started to go on holiday and get back in the car and come home. She realised she was home and now enjoys going into the pet shops and shopping, she is now approachable if done in a calm manner and she doesnt bark and scream at everything and everyone.

My JRT Billy that I lost this time last year to a long illness was scared of everything including his shadow when we first got him but after a long time and lots of love he turned out to be the most loving and fantastic dog I have every known.
He was scared of strangers especially men right up to the end but given time was fine with people once he got to know them a bit. But he would just lay down and wee himself, not aggressive, just terrified.
I still miss him lots, still can turn to blubber when I think or talk about him, bless his soul.

Boon was a rescue from here and now lives with us with kind permission of OH who keeps moaning about the dogs here already, had to keep him sweet Boon has had a few health problems in the past and his food has to be controlled quite strictly, or he has tummy problems, and ends up on a drip, I have learnt to recognise the start of the symptoms and take action quickly.
