TYE - YORKSHIRE TERRIER CROSS WESTIE - SWINDON

Post by spiritswind1975 on Thu Aug 04, 2011 8:37 am

    NAME OF DOG – TYE
BREED OF DOG – YORKSHIRE TERRIER CROSS WESTIE
    SEX OF DOG - MALE
AGE OF DOG – 1 YEAR OLD
    NEUTERED/SPAYED – YES
VACCINATED – YES (BOOSTER DUE SEPT 2011)
    MICROCHIPPED – NO BUT RECOMENDED
    INSURED - NO BUT RECOMENDED
    OTHER DOGS – YES
CATS – NOT LIVED WITH THEM WILL TEST
CHILDREN – YES OVER 5 YEARS
    APPROX WEIGHT – 7kg
APPROX HEIGHT TO SHOULDER – 12 ½ INCHES

Tye is a standard yorkie cross westie 1 year old
His previous owner was a elderly lady who became unwell and unable to take care of him, and the grandchildren took him in only to find that he wanted too much attention and they were unable to give him what he need due to working long hours.

Tye to me seems a little spoilt he wants attention 24/7 so whines and barks to try and get this, including at night.
He is a very sweet little man who just wants a lot of loving, always at my feet wherever I sit.
He has livied with other dogs and dosent mind, cats unsure because none in the home.
He loves his walks, but will bark at other dogs to get there attention.

I think this little man would suit someone who is home most of the time,
maybe someone with other dogs so if they need to go out he has some company.

Before an application is made please read the following carefully:
Please do not apply for the dog unless you have the funds to pay the donation fee. We do not have the facility to hold dogs in our care until the prospective owners have the funds to adopt the dog.
Only apply for the dog if you intend to travel to the fosters carers location. We do not deliver dogs or allow a third party to collect the adoptor/s must travel to view the dog.
Anyone wishing to be considered for the adoption of TYE is required to complete an adoption form after carefully reading all the adoption rules & procedures please. Please be aware that you will only be called if you have been chosen to adopt, we do NOT call every applicant

Tye is still undergoing his assessment period and any application forms submitted will be considered between 15/8/11 or when it is felt he is ready to be adopted.

The adoption form can be found by clicking here: http://www.yorkieandtoybreedrescue.co.uk/adopting.html

He is totally adorable, my Emmie is half yorkie/westie and you couldn't wish for a nicer little dog. I totally get the wanting to be with you 24/7 bit though, ha ha! Ems even follows me to the loo! lol! She looks just like a westie sized yorkie really and when her fur's not cut really short like the little chap up for adoptions here it's silky on her head and ears and then quite fluffy and courser on her back! Only wish I was in the position to put in an application form but we've just got another guinea pig so I'd better not dare ask, ha ha ha!

    Hi all
I have tye with me and he is a dream in the shower he just stands there and let you wash him Yea Smile
No more getting wet for me lol!
NO mess in the house yet so i would say he is house trained.
He played well with ben as ben started most times.
Tye will let you look at his teeth and paws no probs.
He needs some training ie to sit at the road side to come when called.
I will not be letting him off the lead yet.
he will bark at the door and people going by.
Other than that he is a quite dog.

    love lorryy
