    EASY FUNDRAISING SITE

Post by rosalie on Wed Sep 07, 2011 4:59 am

I have not been on the easyfundraising site for quite a while since they changed it and I don't seem to have to do any tasks any more on it.

I noticed 2 more (members maybe) or friends have now joined we now have 68 members, which does not seem enough to help with the fundraising.

I have also noticed an easyfunding toolbar you can download which now means you will be reminded when you order from any internet site that is registered with easyfunding, if that site gives donations so you can then log on before you order anything.

I do forget sometimes to go to that site first before I order.

I am probably the last person to have seen this and you have all downloaded the toolbar, so I will shut up now .

    Waving
I always delete the days history and clean cookies etc..every day..
Do a defrag around a couple of weeks to keep it ticking over, and Im using windows xp, had a lappy with windows vista, sold it as needed the pennies and bought a second netbook but the screen is a bit small for my old tired eyes..

And im right behind you in the senile stakes...

I gave my XP laptop to hubby knowing it would be very slow with not much memory, he is always moaning, but only uses it for some games and some club websites.

I changed my desktop while I had some money with Vista on it, and then bought a laptop with windows 7 on it. I don't like it much, something I have to learn again. I had hoped to take it out with me some times, never go out now, camping etc. maybe in the future.

There might be some programmes you don't need you could delete them to make more room, ask someone who knows about which ones you can delete only if you want to.

My son used to build desktops and told me off for defragging to often, said it wore the hard drive out.

    Hi rosalie....

guess we are taking cover in this topic..away from all the c**p going on Rolling Eyes
I slighlty exaggerated on the frequency of my defragmenting Ive not done it in a couple of months Embarassed
Im not to bad with computers ,got my first one for my 4oth birthday when hubby asked what i wanted, since then Ive learned some stuff along the way, once bought an old destop from gumtree for £40 removed the old memory and upgraded it by a £10 memory 1gb stick and sold it for £90...so not to bad on computers,

I have slimmed this one down with mainly programs I use or need so not to bad, as it was second hand im not sure how previous owner used it, Im online many hours every day and maybe wearing it out..

Also its only a 10 inch screen and even with glasses on and enlarging font size it does put a strain on the old peeps .. Shocked
So going to try and get one from catalogue and pay it up..

many thanks for all your help and advice, your one hellava lady with so much going on with woofys and trying to help us here I salute you missus
