lhasa apso requires a foster home

Post by helpinghands on Tue Aug 18, 2009 10:33 am

hi im sniggles ,i set my rescue up in jan 09 after serving other rescues. I recently rescued a lhasa apso from deaths row in the pound & not being used to little dogs ,I usually deal with large breeds,im looking for a foster home for him .I must make you aware of some history of Alfie ,he was found tried up in a field by the warden ,who reconds he had proberly been there for a few days ,anyhow he was taken to the pound & shaved to remove all the knots,he seems to be a young dog (entire) since i have had him he has biten twice ,i have been advised to have him pts but i cant do it .I think in time with the right person he will make a good dog he just seems scared . Over the last 2 days he has shown a lot of improvement. i really believe this boy is worthy of a chance (even tho it was me he bit lol)
If you feel you could help Alfie &^ me please let me know thankyou

    Welcome to the mad house.
It was nice to chat to you & I hope it helped. People have such a misconception that small dogs are 'cute & fluffly', I wish.
Can you say if Alfie will be neutered please?
I am happy for him to be on here if it means he gets a home, like many small dogs, they can be fiesty little ones without warning affraid
Good luck with your rescue, new venture is never easy & I hate to say does get really hard at times, but, just to see a wag of the tail, a big wet kiss makes it all so worth while. (Sounds a bit like Bertie BB!) & he finally found a home. Anyone
