    TILLY - CHIHUAHUA X - LINCOLNSHIRE

Post by yorkiegirl on Fri Oct 16, 2009 11:04 pm

    HOME CHECK PASSED

    NAME OF DOG- TILLY
BREED OF DOG - CHIHUAHUA X
    SEX OF DOG - FEMALE
AGE OF DOG - 5 MONTHS
NEUTERED/SPAYED - NO DUE TO AGE (Spay agreement will be given to new owner)
    VACCINATED - YES
MICROCHIPPED - TO BE ARRANGED WHEN NEW OWNER IS FOUND
    OTHER DOGS - YES
    CATS -YES
    CHILDREN - YES
    APPROX WEIGHT - 4KG

Little Tilly came to us after her old owner decided that she was not going to pay the vet bill for a broken ankle that Tilly had received. Even theough I have her 'Pedigree' paperwork I am very doubtful that she really is a pure Chihuahua & this is why the old owner decided she did not want her really. She is very tall for her age, but such a sweet funny little girl that would benefit living with a family with children as she is very young & playful. She would also benefit from another dog in the house as well to play with/teach her habits!!!!
Her leg has healed, but her foot has a very slight turn, but this certainly is not stopping her running around like a looney.
She walks well, but until her leg has gain strength these are just short at present. She does still put on a 'limp' when she knows that you are watching or wants attention Rolling Eyes
She is 95% clean in the house, just the odd accident when she gets 'excited' or is playing & forgets to go out (back door always open). Sleeps in the kitchen with all the other at night without fuss.

(when she had her cast on)

Anyone wishing to be considered for the adoption of Tilly is required to complete an adoption form after reading all the adoption rules & procedures please.
The adoption form can be found by clicking on the red link at the top of the home page.

Isn't she stunning!! Can't see any chihuahua in her really, looks like a collie cross, but no less beautiful. How horrible that the owners wouldn't pay for her poor leg just because she doesn't look right!!
I need to be banned from the rehoming forum, it's just too tempting to fill in forms for everyone, only I'd end up with more dogs than people if I did.

She really is a little character, but so loving. Sits on command & no puddles for over a week cheers A really funny sweet little girlie.
I really must say a thank you to Faye who initially rescued Tilly & handed her to us.

Well little Tilly went off with her new family today & what a lovely family they are. The 2 children were so well behaved so I am sure Tilly will teach them a few bad habits
She really was a sweetheart & a very intelligent one at that. This morning before she went she did a spot og gardening

Sorry for not posting yesterday I was far to busy when I got home watching my beautiful Tilly play with the children, eat, wee, poo (both outside like a good girl) and then play some more and sleep like a baby.

Well what can I say........we had a fantastic day meeting Sue and all her lovely dogs and little Tilly..........she jumped in the car and slept all the way home......stopping briefly at the pet store for new bowls, toys, treats, food, rather smart collar and i.d. disc.
I am overwhelmed at how chilled and happy she is........it is like we have always had her just after 24hrs. She has won the hearts of the family and everyone she has met.

I really cannot thank Sue enough and everyone involved in Tillys journey.........rescuers, homecheckers, beautiful dog bed makers. You are a fantastic team.

I promise to ensure she has the best life possible and all the love she deserves.

I will update on the new home section with piccies in a few days........I need to go and watch Tilly sleep now because she is ssssooooooooooooo lovely.
